Greetings to you & It is a pleasure
to inform you that the 3rd Annual Meeting of Assam College Librarians’
Association (ACLA) is being convened at Dhemaji College on 14th Dec 2013, with
a Day long Programme in which problems and issues of Librarians would be
discussed. Distinguished speakers, guests and dignitaries have been invited to
grace the occasion.
About
the College
Dhemaji College, which is now a leading
institution under Dibrugarh University had a humble beginning as pioneer
institution in the field of higher education in Dhemaji district in 1965. Dhemaji
College is the oldest and premier institution of Higher learning in the
district of Dhemaji. At present it imparts education right from higher
secondary to degree level in Arts and Science stream along with different
vocational/career oriented courses with an experienced and efficient teaching
staff.
Travel
& Accommodation
Dhemaji College is situated 1.5 kms from
Dhemaji ASTC bus stand. It is well connected by roadways. Four wheelers and auto-rickshaws
are available at Bogibeel Ferry Ghat upto Kulajaan from where one may avail the
regular services of Buses, wingers, cruisers etc. To arrive at Dhemaji. Auto-rickshaws
and rickshaws are available from the ASTC bus stand and Chariali. Free boarding
& lodging in the college campus would be provided to outstation
participants during the meeting.
Confirmation
of Participation
All Librarians are hereby requested to
confirm their participation in the meeting on or before 7th Dec 2013, to
facilitate the arrangements. Request for accommodation should also be made at
least a week before the meeting.
